For many years, the Castillon-la-Bataille market has been established on Mondays, so that all those working the land and the vines can come in peace to stock up for the week. This day remained in our weekly calendar. Admittedly on Monday, now, we no longer find agricultural machinery, feed for cattle, or products for the vines, but we have kept the quality of the products of our land. Place Boyer-Andrivet, rue Victor Hugo and allées de la République, we find our local producers who offer a wide choice of quality goods: Seasonal vegetables - meat and cold meats - bread - fish - fresh cheese and even mushrooms. In the adjacent streets, spices from around the world, a large selection of clothes, shoes, also from small local producers. Not to mention the nurseryman who is a delight for all gardeners. Once a year, the Town Hall organizes a themed event in partnership with the markets of France. In 2017, they followed one another in music: shellfish and crustaceans, red fruits or even epiphany, for the pleasure of young and old. The Castillon-la-Bataille market is recognized for its diversity and the good humor of our traders. It is a strong moment of exchange and meeting between all the inhabitants of the Pays de Castillon. The Monday market has kept the same attendance as before.
